Software for displaying results

ScoreBoard is a new PC-based software for displaying game results during competitions.

The software is based on MS-Windows and is very easy to use. A special control unit allows for fatigue-free operation, enabling the user to fully concentrate on the game.

Self-explanatory software

Numerous sports are already available – see the last page for details. Our selection is constantly being expanded with new sports.

For this brochure, we have chosen handball as an example.

The data and input fields are displayed in a single view. Everything is clearly structured and logical. Entries can be corrected if necessary.

Customers can customize the layout and design themselves; an editor is included. The two examples differ as follows:

On the first ad

  • Is the background black for best contrast?
  • is a red separation line
  • Important numbers are colored
  • Advertisements are not included
  • The background is replaced by any JPG image
  • Have the fonts been changed?
  • A rearrangement of the data can be seen
  • Do the logos have a transparency function?

Two operating modes

The ScoreBoard software was developed for both small and large events and for permanent installations.

1. Single Mode

This single-mode setup can be used for small sporting events. A laptop is connected, and the operator screen then appears on the monitor. PCs in this class typically have a second graphics output, to which the results monitor is connected. The setup is therefore extremely simple; only one cable needs to be connected.

2. Server Mode

For permanent installations, we recommend server mode. It can be operated within a computer network, allowing for long cable runs. Furthermore, different locations within a hall can be defined from which the operator can connect, as different sports typically require different operator positions.

Display medium

There are several options for the display medium. The following techniques are typically used.

monitor

Various sizes are available, up to a size of 2 meters, which is sufficient for many halls. It is particularly important when purchasing a monitor that it has protective glass against ball impacts.

projector

Projectors are extremely versatile. Modern devices are very bright and can be used for both front and rear projection. By using the right lens, almost all requirements regarding projection distance and image size can be met.

LED displays

LED walls are available for permanent installations or mobile use, both indoors and outdoors. They come in high, medium, and low resolutions and can be extremely bright. VICOM LED displays feature certified ball protection.

Commander - Control Console

The data and input fields are displayed in a single view. Everything is clearly structured and logical. Entries can be corrected if necessary.
