VisGuide is an impressive software for digital signage applications. It perfectly combines conference room management with the presentation of general information such as films, slideshows, PowerPoint presentations and more.

All possibilities of visual representation

All common multimedia formats that are necessary for displaying films and images can be played with VisGuide. Files can now easily be dragged and dropped into the daily application or a loop container.

[1] Multi-screen

Templates prepared in HTML are the basis for the easy use of the multi-screen function. Individually prepared text fields, for example for restaurant menu cards, greetings, weather and traffic information, are combined with image content.

[2] Pic/Slideshow

To do this, select an image from your list and enter the desired duration for it. Alternatively, select multiple images. These are then played back as part of a slide show with perfect crossfades.

[3] Movie

Select a film from your list here and move it into the loop container. VisGuide can use all common formats. At the end of the film, the following file is automatically played.

[4] PowerPoint

Select a PowerPoint presentation from your list here and move it into the loop container. It will start and play automatically. After the end, VisGuide shows the next file in the container list.

[5] Website

Simply enter the website you want to show here, e.g. www.vicom.de and select the waiting time for it (e.g. 30 seconds). After viewing this website, VisGuide automatically shows the next file in the container list.

A powerful package

VisGuide is an impressive software for digital signage applications. It perfectly combines conference room management with the presentation of general information such as films, slideshows, PowerPoint presentations and more.

VisGuide offers one of the best GUIs (graphical user interface) in the world - whether for conference room booking, advertising or a simple welcome screen. All connected screens are constantly supplied with new content.

If a new event is spontaneously booked, the monitor content is automatically updated.

VisGuide software and the digital door signs - VisDoor are designed to display greetings and information in all possible languages, e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Arabic...

Digital door signs (VisDoor) are installed in front of each conference room, which display the current meetings in a time-controlled manner. In addition, visitors to the VisDoor BusinessLine model are informed from a distance by a light frame whether the room is free or occupied.

News ticker

The ticker module is a universal auxiliary tool for all types of ticker applications today:

VisGuide's ticker concept is probably unique. First, the user can choose whether he wants to use the automatic display of an RSS feed (which is ready-made content that is retrieved from a website) or whether he wants to place his own text message as a ticker. All text messages written can be saved so that they can be reactivated and updated at any time. The possibility of using different fonts is particularly helpful for foreign guests: Russians, Chinese and Japanese can be addressed in a targeted manner using their own characters.

Flash messages

For urgent cases in which messages need to be shown quickly and directly on the monitors, we offer the option to enter flash messages. These can be life-saving. Here are some examples:

  • FIRE - leave the building
  • SHOTS - lock yourself in
  • EARTHQUAKE - leave the building
  • End of break - Please take your seats 

Distribution of information

Direct control of the displays

Another security feature is the built-in control of the connected displays. This means the operator can check from his workplace which image a particular monitor is currently displaying. An image of the current representation is transmitted REAL via the data line.

Advertising

VisGuide is an excellent medium for transmitting advertising messages because, on the one hand, all types of advertising messages can be displayed (from advertising films to spontaneously written offers), and on the other hand, these messages can be shown in a time-oriented manner.

Room booking

A display format can be specified individually for each display monitor. Three formats can be selected:

  • Video/image information only
  • Current conference room occupancies only
  • The mixed presentation of the first two options

Schedules for the use of the monitors are easy to enter and can be assigned individually for each display monitor or VisDoor.

Room plans and equipment features can be viewed immediately when making a booking request. To do this, click on the room and an additional window opens with the desired information.

Drinks and food can be booked individually for each conference with a click of the mouse. The transmission to catering takes place automatically via email. Changes to orders will be automatically resent.

Viewing and booking VIP rooms can only be done with special authorization. This way, discretion can be maintained. These rooms are not accessible with a “general” authorization.

In large organizations today, it is often common for sales employees and clerks to book their numerous appointments via external programs.

Appointments, participating employees, external personnel and the rooms are coordinated and booked efficiently via Microsoft Outlook (in conjunction with Exchange Server) or via Lotus Notes. Blackberry bookings are also possible. VisGuide optionally has Exchange and Domino as well as other interfaces to communicate with external programs.

Nothing changes in the tried and tested way of working, because VisGuide independently takes over the bookings made from the Exchange server and asks the responsible employee for additional requests regarding catering, technical equipment and design of the digital door signs. The data transfer and booking processing works similarly with Lotus Notes and the Domino server.

Multi screen

With the multiscreen option you have even more freedom in designing your presentation on the information displays. Multiscreen allows you to present several simultaneous feeds on one monitor. This means that multimedia films, video live streams, tickers and static image content can be freely combined. Smooth playback is guaranteed in all windows.

Cafeteria/restaurant

The menus can be displayed flexibly and professionally with the help of VisGuide. Even several food distribution stations can be served with individual menu plans at the same time.

Enter the menu for today or one of the following days.

By pressing the "Preview" button you will be shown the display of the welcome monitor.

The entry now appears in a list format on the operator's monitor. It is easy to change or move.

Web-based VisGuide software version

From version VisGuide 8 onwards, a web-based version of the room booking module is available. This means that conference room bookings can be made anywhere using an iPad or smartphone via a browser.

The room booking module gives you a perfect overview of all bookings. Appointments can be rescheduled within seconds. The events can be rebooked at any time. Simply drag the booking to another room or time with your mouse.

There are different display modes - so the user can use the overview view by day, week or month and thus easily determine related free capacities.

VisDoor – Digital Door Signs
VisDoor are digital door signs that are specially adapted to the VisGuide software. VisDoor are available with an elegant aluminum frame (Elegance model) or with integrated status LEDs (BusinessLine model). Special design upon customer request is possible

  • VisDoor BuinessLine have built-in status LEDs. These adapt in color depending on the booking status. Green = free, red = occupied or individual color of the customer's choice
  • VisDoor is available as a surface-mounted or flush-mounted version
  • VisDoor can be switched on and off automatically via VisGuide
  • VisDoor comes in different sizes from 7 inches to 22 inches
  • Up to 1024 rooms can be managed simultaneously (optionally expandable)
  • Overwrite function for bookings outside normal times
  • Available as PoE version (Power over Internet)
