VICOM always offers the right product to meet the requirements of opera houses and theaters.
The LEDs are typically supplied in a pixel pitch of 6mm, 4mm, or 2.5mm. The total height of the displays is available in 50 cm, 67 cm, one meter or other dimensions. We would be happy to calculate the optimal display size and the correct pixel spacing for you individually.
Our LED units are all delivered without an external fan, so that an almost silent presentation is guaranteed at all times. Our LED displays are optionally available with a protective metal frame. This means that it can be removed from the display at any time and it is guaranteed that no LEDs can be knocked out or injured by contact with the ground.
For outdoor use, such as at opera festivals or open-air events, we supply weatherproof units that work reliably even in adverse conditions. You can remain outside throughout the game.
Of course, we guarantee technical service for all LED units we supply. Technical know-how in the event of technical problems is of course available at any time by telephone. Spare parts and services from our specialist technicians can be accessed at any time.

VICOM SurtitlePro is the leading surtitle program in Europe. It is characterized by easy operation and a safe, precise presentation.
SurtitlePro can be used for LED displays, projectors, monitors as well as analog and digital seating systems.
A much-lauded use of this program is made at the Grand Theater del Liceu, Barcelona. There, the projection, LED display and text monitors in the seats are controlled at the same time by this one software.
New in version 6 is that LED displays with their enormous brightness can finally be controlled professionally. If the texts appear too bright in a dark scene, a defined area can be displayed in the program with only 17% brightness, for example.

Direct mode
For special applications, the memory recall mode in the displays (see description above) can also be switched off so that information is transmitted “live” to the displays.

Company logos can be displayed in a specific box, on individual or groups of seats, as part of sponsorships or special events.
Individual texts
Individual texts can be sent to each individual seat. VIPs from politics, culture or business can be welcomed at their seats. Other applications include showing seat assignments, sponsors or seat sponsorships.
Accident
In the event of a problem occurring, the operator can hide the texts in the chairs at any time, re-synchronize and then show the texts again. This problem is not noticed by the audience. Speed and immediacy.
Speed and immediacy
Before the performance, all text and graphics are loaded into each text display. Each display has a correspondingly large memory for this. The SurtitlePro program then only sends short retrieval sequences so that the operator can advance the texts. The current form of transmitting many languages with correspondingly large files takes a long time and is displayed with a time delay and therefore not synchronously.

The displays are built into the seat backs of rail mounting systems. The position can be adjusted individually for an optimal viewing angle.
In certain areas of the theater, such as the periphery or some seats in the middle, two displays must be built into a seat back, as the row of seats behind two patrons must read from the same seat in front of them.
The VICOM seat displays are characterized by an extremely high contrast range. At first glance you notice that there is no backlight at all. The fonts and graphics shine on this completely black background. This makes them easy and tiring to read.
Another feature is the high quality of the displays. The displays from a premium manufacturer that manufactures in Japan are used. A high level of luminosity and longevity are guaranteed here.
Combined with the high-quality and long-lasting electronics from VICOM, the result is a system that is extremely reliable, both today and in the future.
Individual greeting
It is particularly important for VIP seats to greet people individually with their name and title. All seat displays in our system are controlled digitally. Technically speaking, each seat has an individual IP address. This is the basis for a personal greeting of the guest by entering their name and title.
Sponsorship
Individual seats, boxes or the entire opera house can be booked individually by sponsors. Separate from the "normal" surtitling program, the refinancing can be promoted via the opera's marketing department. The sponsorship is usually offered for one season, but can of course also be shorter or longer. Companies or institutions can also book the entire building, including the system, for their own events and presentations.
While the visitors go to their seats, the endless loop shown on the left can be switched to the displays. The time interval can be freely selected.
We offer a wide range of experience for special applications in research and measurement technology. Important steps are taken during the consultation and conception phase to ensure quick setup and convenient service later on. The mechanical support structure and coordination with the electronic playback units are particularly important.

There are numerous powerful versions and variations, especially for indoor areas. Our models are particularly well received in shopping centers, where advertising is always of particular importance. The mechanics between the elements are easy to lock and the electrical connections are easy to make, making installation much easier.

LEDs for studio applications continue to make further development progress. Extremely high resolutions with just 0.7 mm pixel pitch are now possible. This means that at a distance of 6 m, the viewer sees a homogeneous image in which the individual LEDs can no longer be identified.
A particularly quiet ventilation technology was developed for the opera, theater and television studio areas, because in such acoustically sensitive rooms the noise impact caused by loud fans is under no circumstances acceptable. Thanks to the special changes, opera performances, concerts and live events will not be affected by background noise. In the picture on the left you can see a surtitling system (6 m wide) for opera houses. The technology was perfectly coordinated with the VICOM SurtitlePro .
VICOM also offers curved modules as standard products that are specifically designed to accommodate the LED units. The modules can be fitted both from the outside (e.g. as a lit barrel column) and from the inside (cove). They can also be combined with flat modules so that creative stage designs can be created.
The Adidas company needed a large, impressive video wall for its headquarters in Herzogenaurach. Due to the structural conditions and a 25 m deep porch, a torsion-free housing was developed for this special case.
This was set up in the parking lot in front of it and all the technology was installed there. The entire LED wall was then lifted to its destination at once using a heavy-duty crane and anchored accordingly.
LED Outdoor
Outdoor LED displays are usually manufactured as P4, P5, P6, P8, P10, P12, P14, P16, P18, P20, P25 or P30 full color versions (the respective number indicates the pixel pitch in mm).
But they are also available in monochrome. Installation takes place on scaffolding, pylons or directly on house facades. The front sides of our outdoor displays are generally designed IP-65, which means that no further protective measures such as glass panes are necessary.
For critical installations - e.g. near the sea - we can build additional protective housings to ensure comprehensive protection against salt water.
Nickel-plated steel is used to build pylon solutions. After good preparation and planning, inserting the displays and putting them into operation is easy and problem-free.
LED walls for advertising are only supplied with a light sensor, so that the brightness of the display is automatically adjusted to the ambient light.
In the example shown you can see a P25 display in outdoor use. It is protected against all weather influences such as snow, rain or heat. In addition, particular attention was paid to security against vandalism and easy service accessibility.
The VICOM LED displays are mounted directly on the facade using a special wall bracket. The images are bright and lively and therefore ideal for advertising. The production of this LED display is particularly inexpensive because the wall bracket was already taken into account in the design and essentially standard elements could be used.
LED displays for flexible rental use must meet special requirements. On the one hand, they must be practical and light, so that quick assembly is guaranteed. On the other hand, they must be adjustable and hanging so that customer requirements can be completely met. They have to be very robust, because in the rough everyday life of staging, forces have to be able to withstand without causing damage.
It has always been a challenge to work with bright (and therefore loud) devices in acoustically sensitive rooms. Those responsible for film, television, studios, theaters, opera and conference room equipment are confronted with this problem every day.
VICOM has been developing and building soundproof housings, also called silencers or silent boxes, according to customer requirements for over 15 years. The requirements are determined by the customer. We design and build the appropriate soundproofing case, but no device is too big, too heavy or too loud for us.

Experience and specialist knowledge in the area of sound insulation
In addition to the extreme noise insulation, sufficient ventilation of the projector is the most important criterion right from the design stage. That is why the air flow simulation is carried out on the monitor during the CAD design. We then produce the soundproof housings as individual pieces according to customer requirements or as small series.

Soundproof housings for heavy projectors that are suspended require special technology to accommodate the weight.
A frequently used option is to insert steel strips into the housing. The steel strips are comprehensively mounted in milled grooves on three sides. The force is then absorbed via the hanging eyelets. Lifts are also used as an alternative to steel belts. Of course, these must then have the necessary load capacity.
As standard, the VICOM soundproof housings are equipped with a 3mm front panel made of acrylic glass. These offer sufficiently good projection quality, and there is practically no risk of breakage in everyday use. In order to achieve the optimized, maximum possible luminous efficacy of the projection with the lowest light loss, instead of the acrylic glass, we optionally offer a special projection glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides, which is also installed at an angle in the housing. This further minimizes reflections and therefore light loss.

Series production
VICOM produces soundproof housings in series or as one-off production. It is important that the result of the sound insulation is optimal and that the housing is integrated into the room as best as possible and is designed to be robust for travel purposes.

For loud machines, we design and build individual soundproof housings to significantly reduce the noise level. Here an extremely loud machine has been successfully made quiet. In an assembly hall for medical products, it was extremely annoying due to its very dynamic impact noises. First, the acoustic source had to be analyzed, then the soundproof housing could be designed and built. The impact noise of this machine has been reduced so much that operators can even work without hearing protection.
Recording studios require absolute silence in order to be able to properly assess sound and acoustics. Loud 19" units that produce a considerable level of noise with their fans can be extremely soundproofed with our know-how. In the example above, we made a "Green Hippo" inaudible (and it was really loud).
